Carob & Hempseed Balls
This recipe is prepared from all raw food. No added sugar or oil, dairy-free, gluten-free, soy-free, egg-free, grain-free, suitable for vegans/vegetarians.
Ingredients
2 tablespoons of raw, fresh carob powder
1 cup dates
1 cup hulled hempseed

Method
- Place the dates in a food processor and process till a type of dough is formed. The dates will collect into a dough sized lump in the processor. When it does that, it's perfect. (Dates can be chopped by hand if you don't have a food processor).
- Place the hempseeds and the carob powder into a mixing bowl and mix together.
- Add the date dough to the carob and hempseed mixture by kneading the mixture with (clean) moist hands. Use a bowl of water nearby to keep your hands moist if necessary. Mix till all ingredients are thoroughly blended together.
- Form mixture into ball shapes and store in refrigerator until you want to eat them.
- Carob & Hempseed balls keep quite well in the fridge, unless someone raids them. They are very yummy, nutritious and they don't give me migraines that chocolate causes. Happy eating!
